Green kitchen?

Well, we want to build a house with My Green Cottage but thats still a ways off till the county gives us a sewer line. So we're going to talk with someone they recommend for redoing our kitchen in a sustanable eco friendly way. Mostly that will mean reusing as much of our cabinets as we can and installing Energy Star appliances (Fridge/Freezer, Oven, and Cooktop) The counter tops will go too, tho Steph found one made from an eco material that duplicates boomerang design we currently have! We'll need a new floor and refinish/reface the cabinets too. Probably have to pull some electric cable too, sigh, copper ain't cheap with all the demand for wire coming from Asia.

Anyway this will give us a way to sort of test them and see how they work.

We've definitly shown an electric usage savings from mostly just replacing light bulbs with the compact florescents 400kwh in May. We're alos setting the AC huch hotter than I like and that helping too thou sometimes I do click the thermostat to make it come on at night when its too humid.
